A DAY WITHOUT WAVES
On the eve of the new academic year, Mathilde arrives in Paris to begin her studies at the Sorbonne. She shows up with her skateboard, her doubts, and the shadow of a love left behind in her hometown. Amid the crowd of first-year students, reality hits hard. Far from her family, her friends, and her boyfriend.
Skipping class on her skateboard, she meets Zelda — a radiant and singular skater. With her, Mathilde discovers a form of sisterhood she had never known before. Through skating, shared silences, and Zelda’s raw sense of freedom, Mathilde begins to waver — for the span of a single day.

Shapes of Resistance follows photographer Fred Mortagne and skateboarder Jaakko Ojanen into the Swiss landscape in search of an unlikely skate spot: the Toblerones, concrete anti-tank barriers built to stop movement, now reimagined through the eyes of skateboarding.

SPECIAL FEATURE: BUILD IT AND THEY WILL COME
“Freedom”, a free skatepark, music studio, and cultural hub located in the heart of Accra, Ghana was seized and taken for ransom in an overnight coup lead by a mysterious land-grabber. Sandy, Harmonie and Sarah still can't access their park. In the past two years they have faced rejection, intimidation and sabotage, but they have learned valuable lessons, stayed the course and protected their community. Today, they continue to fight the unspoken resistance that arises when women lead where they’re not expected to.
