How should my new boots fit and feel like?
Step 1:
Put on your boots and tighten them as you normally would. It’s normal that it’s hard to put the boots on the first few times. This will get easier as the boots break in.
Step 2:
Stand up with your legs straight. Your toes should be touching the front of the boots.
Step 3:
Bend your knees. Your heels should slide back and your toes should pull away from the front slightly. This indicates a proper fit.
Step 4:
If the boots still feel too tight and you can’t move your toes with your knees bent, then you may want to try a half a size bigger.

Boa

Lyhyesti: Boa = nopea ja vaivaton. Nauhat = tarkka ja muokattava.
Mikä on lumilautakengän kovuus (flex) ja miten valitsen sen?
Kengän kovuus kertoo, kuinka jäykkä tai pehmeä kenkä on liikkeessä.
Pehmeä (1–4) Aloittelija, parkki - Helpot käännökset, mukava ja anteeksiantava
Keskikova (5–7) Kaikki tasot - Monipuolinen all-mountain
Kova (8–10) Edistyneet, freeride - Tukeva kovassa vauhdissa ja rinteissä

Miten valitsen oikean koon?
Lumilautakengän koko voi poiketa normaaleista tennareista. Huomioitavaa:
- Varpaiden tulisi kevyesti koskea kengän kärkeen, mutta ilman kipua
- Kantapään tulee pysyä paikallaan käännöksissä (ei nostetta)
- Lämpömuokattava sisäkenkä mukautuu käytössä
- Suosittelemme seuraamaan kunkin valmistajan kokotaulukkoa (Deeluxe, Vans, jne.)
Kuinka lämpimät lumilautakengät ovat?
Kaikki lumilautakengät on suunniteltu talvikäyttöön, mutta erot syntyvät:
- Sisäkengän eristyksestä
- Pohjan rakenteesta
- Hengittävyydestä
Jos palelet helposti, valitse malli jossa on:
- paksu sisäkenkä
- lämpömuokattava vuori
- EVA-pohjamateriaali
Voinko käyttää lumilautakenkiä kävellessä?
Kyllä, mutta ne eivät ole suunniteltu pitkiä kävelylenkkejä varten.
Lumilautakengät antavat tukea ja pitoa lumessa, mutta ovat kömpelömmät kuin talvikengät.
Miten lumilautakengät muotoutuvat käytössä?
Useimmat kengät pehmenevät ja muotoutuvat muutaman laskupäivän aikana.
Lämpömuokattavat sisäkengät voidaan muotoilla liikkeessä (lämpöuunissa), jolloin istuvuus paranee heti.
Sopivatko kaikki lumilautakengät kaikkiin siteisiin?
Yleisesti kyllä.
Tärkeää on valita:
- Yhteensopiva kengän koko ja siteen koko
- Oikea jäykkyys, joka vastaa laskutyyliä
Miten lumilautakenkiä hoidetaan?
- Kuivata huoneenlämmössä (ei patterilla)
- Tarkista nauhat tai Boa-systeemi säännöllisesti
- Poista sisäkenkä kuivumista varten
- Vältä veden täyttämistä kengän sisään
Täytyykö lumilautakengissä olla sama koko kuin katukengissä?
Ei aina.
Monilla malleilla suositellaan puolikoon tai kokonaisen koon pienempää kuin normaalisti.
Esimerkiksi:
- Vans: usein true-to-size
- Deeluxe: usein hieman pienempi ja tarkemmin istuva
