Union Bindings Atlas Step On – an efficient and immediate skiing experience without straps

The Union Atlas Step On is designed for experienced and demanding snowboarders who want to combine the speed and ease of the Step On system with Union's legendary performance and reliability. The Atlas Step On is Union's stiffest and most efficient Step On binding - the choice for the rider who needs maximum power transfer, precision and control in the most demanding conditions.

The Atlas construction is based on Union's popular all-mountain/freeride binding series, but is fully optimized for the Step On mechanism. The heel and toe lock works seamlessly, and the Union reinforced frame provides support for big lines, carving, steep slopes and big jumps. The binding responds immediately to your movements, making your ride sharp and controlled - without straps or adjustments.

The Atlas Step On is designed for those who want true high-performance bindings without the hassle of adjustment.

Step On – how does it work?

Step On is a snowboard binding set where the boots are attached to the binding using three locking points:
– heel
– two toe locks

When you step into the binding, the shoe locks automatically snap shut. Exit is done via release levers that operate quickly and smoothly. The end result is that getting in and out takes just seconds – without having to tighten a single strap.

Advantages of the Step On system:

  • very fast entry and exit

  • stable and immediate feel

  • minimizes adjustment in elevator queues and in freezing temperatures

  • works excellently on slopes and during fast driving

Remember: Step On bindings only work with Step On shoes (e.g. DC Step On or Burton Step On).

Step On vs. Fase vs. Normal Strap Ties

STEP ON – speed and immediate support
– the fastest fastening technology
– only works with Step On shoes
– very immediate power transmission
– slightly stiffer and more limited in lateral movement

FASE – hybrid technology strap-on feel + faster entry
– compatible with all standard snowboard boots
– the highback opens, but the binding has normal straps
– almost as fast as Step On
– better freestyle flexibility

TRADITIONAL STRAP BANDAGES – maximum adjustment and flexibility
– best freestyle and street behavior
– maximum adjustability
– slowest entry
– works with all types of shoes

The Union Atlas Step On is the superior choice for pure performance, speed and precision.

Union Atlas Step On – technical features

Toolless adjustments
All adjustments can be made without tools – quick fine-tuning on the slope.

Compatibility
– Only works with shoes designed for the Step On system (DC Step On, Burton Step On)
– Compatible with all common board mounting patterns (4x4, Channel, 2x4)

Who is Union Atlas Step On suitable for?

Choose this bandage if
– you want the speed of the Step On system but with professional-level support
