Capita SB Powder Twin 2026 – a twin-shaped powder board for creative and powerful descents
The Capita SB Powder Twin 2026 is one of the most distinctive and creative snowboards in the Spring Break series. It is designed for the rider who wants to combine the float of deep snow, the freedom of a twin shape and a freestyle style of skiing into one whole. The Powder Twin is not a traditional directional powder board, but an extra wide, twin-tip shape that allows full weight skiing in both directions even in soft snow.
The SB Powder Twin is built specifically for powder days, but it doesn't limit the rider to one direction or riding style. Its super wide frame and Surf Camber profile provide excellent floatation, allowing the board to effortlessly rise to the surface of the snow without the need for heavy back foot pressure. At the same time, the twin shape makes switching, spinning and creative lines natural even in deep snow.
The board's camber profile is Surf Camber, with a clear camber in the middle of the board and a lighter rise in the tips and tail. This profile combines the pop and edge grip of a traditional camber with maximum float and a smooth feel in powder. Surf Camber makes the board lively and responsive, but also very stable and forgiving in soft conditions.
The core of the SB Powder Twin is the Capitan Meta Core, a lightweight and reactive wood core combination. The Meta Core is designed to provide fast response time, good energy return and a light overall weight, which is especially important for a wide board. The core supports powerful efforts and controlled descents even in deep and variable snow.
The construction uses HolySheet Tri/Bi Fiberglass, which provides a balanced combination of torsional stiffness and playfulness. This construction is reinforced with Carbon V-Tech Amplifiers, which add pop, stability and precision, especially on jump exits and landings. Together, these materials make the SB Powder Twin a board that can withstand heavy use and rewards an active, powerful riding style.
The SB Powder Twin is an extra wide board, allowing for larger boots without dragging your toes or heels in the snow. The width also improves floatation and stability in powder, providing more confidence for fast descents and bigger drops. The twin shape and centered stance make this an exceptionally versatile powder board for the rider who wants to ride creatively and not be limited to a traditional freeride style.
The SB Powder Twin flexes between medium-stiff and stiff, offering enough support for high speeds and big descents, while maintaining the playfulness and surf-like feel of the Spring Break series. This makes it an excellent choice for advanced and experienced riders looking for something different and inspiring on their powder days.
The Capita SB Powder Twin 2026 is the perfect choice for the skier who wants to combine powder, freestyle thinking and the freedom of a twin board in one device. It's perfect for deep snow, natural formations, backcountry jumps and creative all-mountain riding when the snow is more plentiful.

What should you consider when choosing snowboard boots?
A few questions to consider before buying snowboard boots
What is the difference between Boa tightening and traditional laces?
Boa
- Tightening is done quickly by turning the roller
- Can be adjusted even with gloves on
- Provides even tightening across the entire shoe area
- Some models have double Boa (separate upper and lower adjustment)
Traditional ribbons
- A cheaper option
- Gives the user maximum adjustability
- Many find the laces more flexible and have a more natural feel
In short: Boa = fast and effortless. Laces = precise and customizable.
What is the flex of a snowboard boot and how do I choose it?
The hardness of a shoe tells you how stiff or soft the shoe is when moving.
Soft (1–4) Beginner, park - Easy turns, comfortable and forgiving
Medium (5–7) All levels - Versatile all-mountain
Hard (8–10) Advanced, freeride - Sturdy at high speeds and on slopes
What is the difference between Deeluxe and Vans snowboard boots?
Deeluxe
- Known for its technical fit and ultra-precise heel hold
- Lots of options in different flex classes
- Heat-moldable liners in many models
- Especially popular in the European market and among professionals
Vans
- Soft and comfortable fit from the start
- Excellent shock absorption (Vans Waffle soles)
- Skate-style feel, a favorite of many due to its comfort
- Especially suitable for park and all-mountain content
In brief:
Deeluxe = technical fit & performance.
Vans = comfort & a softer skate-style feel.
How do I choose the right size?
The size of snowboard boots may differ from normal sneakers. Please note:
- The toes should lightly touch the tip of the shoe, but without pain.
- The heel should remain stationary during turns (no lift)
- Heat-moldable liner adapts to wear
- We recommend following the size chart of each manufacturer (Deeluxe, Vans, etc.)
How warm are snowboard boots?
All snowboard boots are designed for winter use, but differences arise:
- About the insulation of the inner shoe
- About the structure of the base
- About breathability
If you get cold easily, choose a model with:
- thick inner shoe
- thermoformable lining
- EVA sole material
Can I wear snowboard boots while walking?
Yes, but they are not designed for long walks.
Snowboard boots provide support and traction in the snow, but are more cumbersome than winter boots.
How do snowboard boots shape up during use?
Most shoes soften and shape over a few days of use.
Heat-moldable liners can be shaped in the store (in a heat oven), which immediately improves the fit.
Do all snowboard boots fit all bindings?
Generally yes.
It is important to choose:
- Compatible shoe size and binding size
- Correct stiffness that matches the landing style
How do you care for snowboard boots?
- Dry at room temperature (not on a radiator)
- Check the laces or Boa system regularly
- Remove the liner to dry.
- Avoid filling the shoe with water.
Do snowboard boots have to be the same size as street shoes?
Not always.
Many models recommend going a half size or a full size smaller than normal.
For example:
- Vans: often true-to-size
- Deeluxe: often slightly smaller and more precisely fitted
Always check the manufacturer's table.
