Product information: Bataleon Blaster PRO AW PHASE x Tor 25/26
Bataleon Blaster PRO AW FASE x Tor – a top-of-the-line all-mountain/freestyle binding for experienced skiers
Bataleon Blaster PRO AW FASE x Tor is one of Bataleon's most advanced and high-performance snowboard bindings. The model is Tor Lundström's signature version, combining high-level support, strong power transmission and the speed and comfort of the FASE system. The Blaster PRO bindings are designed for demanding skiers who want to use one pair of bindings throughout the entire fell area - from powder and park to steep slopes and big jumps.
The AsymWrap frame gives the binding a balanced flex and control. It offers strong support in the back, but leaves enough lateral flex for freestyle, buttering and pressing. The PRO version has stronger materials, better shaped straps and a more precise feel than the regular Blaster models.
FASE technology, on the other hand, makes entry and exit quick and effortless – while maintaining the complete control of a traditional strap-side that demanding skiers appreciate.
FASE system – a faster and smarter way to use strap ties
FASE (Fast Entry System) is a new generation of strap bindings. Its goal is simple: to combine the feel and adjustability of a traditional strap binding with the ease that many seek from Step On-type systems.
How does FASE work?
-
The highback opens automatically when you remove the ankle strap
-
A large, open entrance hole is formed on the leg
-
When you step into the binding and press with your heel, the highback closes and locks firmly.
-
Ankle strap tightens with one pull
-
Toe strap remains in the pre-set position (Locked-In Toe Strap)
The result: faster entry – but with exactly the same support and feel as a high-quality traditional strapside.
PHASE vs. Step On – what's the difference?
Step On
-
The fastest possible entry and exit
-
No straps
– Only works with Step On shoes
– The structure is stiffer and less adjustable
– When freestyled, some skiers find the lock restricts movement
PHASE
-
Fits all standard snowboard boots
-
Retains the flexibility, support and freestyle feel of a traditional strap-side
-
Highback opens wide → quick entry without adjustment
-
The ankle strap tightens effectively with one movement
– Not quite as fast as Step On (but close)
FASE is an excellent choice for the skier who wants both an adaptive freestyle feel and modern ease of use without shoe dependency.
Blaster PRO AW FASE x Tor – technical features
AsymWrap frame structure
The asymmetric frame provides precise edge control but leaves the foot naturally free to move, making it suitable for all-mountain, park and freestyle riding.
PRO level materials
The Tor version uses stiffer, lighter and more durable parts that can withstand big descents and hard use season after season.
Strong and ergonomic straps
The ankle strap distributes pressure evenly and improves comfort. The toe strap provides good lockdown without pinching and works perfectly with the Locked-In Toe Strap system.
Shaped highback
Supports the back foot for power transfer and carving, but allows enough mobility for spins, pressing and butters.
Adjustability
Blaster PRO offers extensive adjustment options:
– Highback corners
– Strap locations and angles
– Length adjustments and fine-tuning of fit
– Width and position of the base plate
Soft cushioning and shock absorption

What should you consider when choosing snowboard bindings?
A few questions to consider before buying snowboard bindings
What is the difference between FASE bandages and traditional strap bandages?
FASE bindings still work with the two-strap logic, but the fastening is faster and easier. The AutoBack highback opens and closes automatically, and the ankle and toe straps are quickly put in place. Traditional strap bindings require manual tightening every time, while FASE speeds up the process without the Step-On type locking system.
Do Step On bindings fit all snowboard boots?
Will not fit. Step On bindings require Step On compatible boots because the lock works with special attachment points in the heel and toe. Regular snowboard boots will not lock into Step On bindings, and Step On boots cannot be used with regular strap bindings.
Is the FASE system compatible with all snowboard boots?
Yes. FASE is based on standard straps, so it works with virtually all standard sized snowboard boots. This is one of the advantages of the FASE system compared to the Step On system, which is boot specific.
What is the Burton Channel System?
The Channel is a long, slot-like mounting solution developed by Burton that allows for infinitely adjustable binding position. Most bindings on the market today are compatible with the Channel via an ICS plate. Burton's own EST bindings are designed specifically for the Channel, but they do not fit standard 4x4 or 2x4 boards.
Is there a difference between toe straps and strap bindings?
Yes. There are two main types of toe straps: “over-the-toe” and “cap strap.” The cap strap is the most modern and fits more tightly over the toe of the boot, improving power transfer and comfort. Rome SDS, Burton, Union, and many other manufacturers now use the cap strap solution on almost all of their top bindings.
What bandage stiffness is best for me?
Medium-flex bindings are suitable for most skiers, especially on slopes and all-mountain use. Softer bindings are suitable for beginners and park use, while stiffer bindings are best for carving, fast descents and freeride. FASE and Step On bindings are available in all stiffness levels, so you should choose based on your own skiing style.
Do all bindings fit all boards?
Most bindings fit all boards, as long as:
- Your binding is the right size for your shoe.
- The board mounting system is compatible (4x4, 2x4, Channel)
Most manufacturers use a 2x4 pattern, which is universally compatible.
